Karen TaCito-Gnaegy earned her BFA in Graphic Design at Colorado State University. With her professors, she was invited to participate in the CSU post-graduate study abroad in the then-Soviet Union. Upon her return, she completed post-graduate studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York, working with Milton Glaser.
Karen is a curriculum advisor to the graphic design department at Platt College San Diego.
She founded TaCito Design in 1985 & is now Creative Director & Principal in Charge of Graphic Design. Her exceptional eye for aesthetics, sense of color & flair with typography continue to be the foundations for successful, memorable designs generated at TaCito Design, Inc.
Drawing from her design background, Karen uses complimentary color, gestural strokes and layered shapes to create vibrant abstract compositions. Karen enjoys painting as the ultimate expression of her creativity.
